Betty Williams is the Managing Shareholder at the Law Office of Williams & Associates, P.C. She specializes in civil and criminal tax matters including audits, appeals, and settlements of any tax controversy, including mutli-state and residency matters, and any time of tax such as income tax, employment tax, sales and use taxes, excise tax and more. Betty has obtained penalty abatement for clients ranging from a few thousand dollars into the millions.

Betty serves as the President of the California Lawyers Association, serves on the U.S. Tax Court Appointments Committee, is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel, and a member of the California Office of Tax Appeals’ external advisory committee.  She also serves on the CJA Panel for the Office of the Federal Defender.

Betty presents on legal topics in the United States and abroad, and is the recipient of numerous awards in her field.
