Position Overview:

Law Leaders® is expanding its engineering team to support LawLink.ai — a secure integration layer connecting legal technology platforms, CRMs, and automation tools. We are seeking an experienced API & Integration Developer who enjoys solving complex connectivity challenges and building reliable backend infrastructure.

This is a remote role, offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to build critical infrastructure at the center of a rapidly growing legal AI ecosystem. You will work directly with our Head of Digital in providing solutions that will integrate with our platform partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build, maintain, and optimize API and webhook integrations between third-party platforms and internal systems.
  2. Implement secure authentication flows (OAuth 2.0, API keys, signed webhooks, token lifecycle management).
  3. Develop backend services, microservices, or workers that support both real-time and asynchronous data movement.
  4. Ensure secure, compliant handling of PII and sensitive data across all integrations.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to design data flows and resolve integration issues.
  6. Write clear, well-documented code and create integration documentation.
  7. Participate in architectural planning for future platform expansion.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Integration & Backend Development

  1. Strong experience with RESTful APIs, webhook ingestion, and system-to-system connectivity.
  2. Backend experience with Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Go, or similar languages.
  3. Ability to design and maintain microservices or lightweight backend applications.
  4. Familiarity with queues, workers, or event-driven patterns.

Security & Authentication.

  1. Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and secure token lifecycle practices.
  2. >Experience with TLS 1.2/1.3, HMAC signatures, and securing webhook endpoints.
  3. Experience with encryption best practices (AES-256 for data at rest, TLS for transit).
  4. Knowledge of secure PII handling and SOC 2 operational expectations.

Cloud & DevOps

  1. Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, DigitalOcean, or similar cloud platforms.
  2. Familiarity with GitHub workflows, CI/CD, Docker, or serverless frameworks.
  3. Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry, etc.

Industry Experience (Optional but Valuable)

  1. Experience integrating with legal CRMs (Clio, MyCase, Filevine, SmartAdvocate, etc.).
  2. Experience working with AI/LLM APIs, automation tools, or data-processing pipelines.
